It has come to our attention that someone felt we were attacking part of the community in one of our previous posts, and we want to be crystal clear: that is never the intention. You have been heard.
SafeMoon is SafeMoon because of this community. Every voice matters.
That said, there’s been some persistent confusion around the v2 contract on BSC. While we respect different opinions, it’s unfortunate that a “tinfoil hat” counter-narrative has taken hold suggesting the v2 is the place to stay. That simply isn’t the case. A tremendous amount of work has gone into this transition — not to shift away from our values, but to move forward from legacy contracts that can no longer be supported and towards something via which governance can be enabled.
Our focus is on unity and growth. We’ve already seen glimpses of what this community can achieve when it’s aligned. The window for the swap is short, but once it’s behind us, we can move forward together — stronger than ever — to make SafeMoon the greatest community-driven project this space has ever seen.
Let’s keep building. Together.
#SafeMoonArmy - We are going to be putting together an interim advisory council of the SafeMoon Community Members that have an interest in helping shepherd the project as the migration to Solana completes.
Prerequisites are:
1.) Must support the migration to the new contract on Solana. This isn't going to be a constant relitigating of WHY we are doing this.
2.) Must be willing to carve out an hour or two per week to review documentation and ideas in a group chat. These chats will be published on this account so the whole community can see what was discussed.
We are looking for five members initially. Please tag those you think would be well suited for this important task of serving on the SafeMoon Guidance Council.
This is a pretty good take here.
The individuals behind this account are not VGX, nor are they SM Asset Ventures. We are unaffiliated with either of those organizations and have stepped in because we see an opportunity to clean something up in crypto.
The SafeMoon community is one of the best communities in the space. It is also one of the projects most laughed at by those not associated with it. Our goal is to make the whole space better by taking something from the dustbin of crypto, cleaning it up, putting a real governance structure in place, and giving power to the community to run it.
VGX bought the assets because there was some tech that was usable - the VGX Wallet is the result of some of that tech being used. The court is very clear that VGX can't "relaunch the SafeMoon business"...so it isn't. None of the SafeMoon branding will remain on that tech once they are done with it.
However, that leaves the community high and dry. The logical thing to do is to turn the whole project over to the community, but that is ALSO difficult for them to do because of the proliferation of different contracts. You can't build a governance structure around that many contracts. You ALSO can't build a governance structure around a bunch of wallets you don't know are active or not. How many people lost their keys? How many deleted the wallet? How many people have lost their tokens forever?
This is why this migration is important. Without this migration, there is no way to determine how many actual active participants there are, and what an intelligent quorum would be for the ecosystem. This is only possible on a NEW contract, and Solana is the best place to have something community driven like this.
You can doubt and question our motives all you would like, but at the end of the day this is a somewhat painful step required to get things to where they need to be so that you all can do what YOU want to do with this.
You have heard from @EricGalen what is going to happen once this swap is done. You have read the docs that explain why the VGX Foundation can't do anything for the holders, and you can see - obviously - how no governance structure could be built on what was already there.
Ultimately, you choose whether you want to be part of an ecosystem that YOU will eventually be in control of, or if you want to hold tokens on a frozen contract.
The beautiful thing about a community-led ecosystem is that we wouldn't NEED to help him, the community would.
The plan here, just so you are all aware, is to get actual governance set up so that people can choose their own leaders, choose to fund proposals, etc. This is why being on a single chain is so important...you can't run a DAO across four chains and five contracts.
If he is found innocent and the whole community begs for him to be back and governance is in place, they will have the tools to make that happen.
The best views are found on the tops of mountains, and the most worthwhile climbs start in the valley.
This community is amazing, and will EVENTUALLY get it. This situation is complex and frustrating, and we understand that, but we are doing our best to help the situation.
🚨 SafeMoon History Lesson and Migration Update 🚨
There's been a lot of confusion about the new SafeMoon contract on Solana and why we aren’t sticking with the old v2 contract on BSC. To really understand what’s happening, it’s important to know the history—and who is responsible for the mess in the first place.
When SafeMoon entered bankruptcy, its smart contract was paused by court order. But that wasn’t the real issue. The SEC, under Gary Gensler’s leadership, imposed draconian conditions on the sale of SafeMoon’s assets:
❌ The SafeMoon business could not be restarted.
❌ No further tokens could be issued on the existing contracts.
❌ Existing contracts could not be used for any business activity.
These restrictions crippled the ability to rebuild SafeMoon on its original chain. Despite this, VGX fought to acquire SafeMoon’s intellectual property and technology (DEX, wallet, etc.) to keep its ecosystem alive. But thanks to Gensler’s SEC overreach, VGX was legally barred from acquiring the v2 contract or its tokens.
To navigate these obstacles, SM Asset Ventures was formed to acquire them. The acquired tokens were burned, and the smart contract was secured and paused. Without what happened next, every v2 holder would have been completely wiped out—no exceptions.
Before the migration to Solana, we fought to convince SM Asset Ventures to unpause the contract, giving holders a last chance to extract some value from their tokens. Without this step, you would have been left with absolutely nothing.
Let’s be crystal clear:
✅ The SEC and Gary Gensler’s policies put every v2 holder in jeopardy.
✅ If VGX and SM Ventures hadn’t stepped in, holders would have been left with NOTHING.
✅ Everything done since then has been to salvage what could be saved, despite regulatory interference.
Even the trader who bridged today and tanked the chart? He wouldn’t have had the opportunity if the SEC had its way—because there would have been nothing left to trade.
Moving Forward: Solana or Nothing
We understand the community’s attachment to the old contract, but after the migration window closes, SM Asset Ventures will permanently pause v2—never to be unpaused again. The only officially supported SafeMoon token will be on Solana. This is the version that will be listed on exchanges and used in all SafeMoon-related activities going forward.
This path was forced on us by regulators, not by choice—but we made every effort to protect SafeMoon holders and provide a way forward. Without VGX and SM Ventures, the SEC would have left you with zero.
If you want to continue with SafeMoon, migrate now. The soul of SafeMoon is very much alive and well.

Totally agree. Unfortunately, with Meteora's DLMM, there is no such thing as LP tokens so you can't send them to a burn wallet or anything.
What we intend on doing is to gradually move that liquidity over to a Raydium pool where we CAN burn the LP tokens and lock that liquidity, but probably not all at once. We will likely do it 25% at a time over a few days.
Letting the dust settle here first, before we start doing things that will panic people.

See the last line: "Note: When you add liquidity for DLMM pools, you won't receive a Meteora LP token."
During the night a process hung resulting in some of the swap transactions getting temporarily stuck. That has now been corrected and the swaps have caught up. There have been 5,056 transfers in the first 20 hours or so and if things hold, about 4.5b $SFM will be permanently removed from circulation on Solana via a burn.
As people start to realize this isn't a scam, there are now a proliferation of accounts claiming to be team members.
There are ZERO official team member accounts on X or anywhere else. If someone claims to be a team member, it is 100% a scam.
We want to take a moment to address yesterday’s launch and be fully transparent about what happened.
About 10 minutes in, a partner/consultant who held 0.5% of the total supply started selling off their tokens. Given the sensitivities around SafeMoon, we understand why this caused concern and led to further sell-offs as people reacted. I promise that we were every bit as irritated as you were.
Looking at the blockchain, it’s clear that the vast majority of tokens from the initial distribution haven’t moved—this was one wallet acting irresponsibly, and unfortunately, it shook confidence.
We want to be clear: dumping on the community is never something we support. This partner knows they screwed up. We, along with our other partners, were appalled by their actions and disregard for the community.
At this point, there’s no way to undo what happened—but what we can do is stay committed to our mission: building something truly decentralized and turning this project over to the community.
We are in this together. SafeMoonArmy is stronger than one bad actor. We keep moving forward. 🚀
The swap for $SFM tokens from BSC to SOL is now live. Give it a shot.
https://t.co/ovNERHJYHe
Each day a new wallet of the 45 deployed on chain will be rotated in to provide the tokens for the swap. After 45 days, swaps will no longer be available.
The swap for v2 tokens on BSC will be coming online shortly, sorry for the delay!
Just a general reminder that the swap will be open for 45 days after which there will no longer be any swap from any other chain to Solana available.
The swap for v2 holders on BSC should be live shortly. We know you are waiting for it!
The swap will be open for 45 days, after which all previously existing contracts on all networks will be deprecated.
A limited number of tokens are available for swap daily, but it is enough to cover everyone holding v1 & v2 (though v1 receives a less favorable swap as they had several years to swap prior to this).
