20th Century Women:
Annette Bening’s character laments about missing out on parts of her son’s life “you get to see him out in the world, as a person. I never will.”
As a parent…this hits. Hard.
Today I set clear boundaries regarding stepdaughter with MIL. She told me a “had to” let bygones be bygones. I said I didn’t have to do anything.
She then attempted to force a relationship by using the baby as bait. Within an hour of me saying no. Zero respect for boundaries.
My stepdaughter brings more drama than my drama students. 22 years old, was clearly pregnant 3 weeks ago but in denial & now using “cryptic” 8lb full term baby to drive a wedge between me & hubby. It’s not working but it sure is exhausting.

Public schools educate:
➡️82% of low SES students
➡️83% of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students
➡️67% of students with disability
➡️68% of students with English as a second language
Yet the vast majority of those schools are underfunded, and kids are missing out. #auspol
Peri-menopause sucks. It’s 4am and I’ve been awake for 2 hours. I have my period. I’m too hot to be under covers. Too cold to have no covers. Faaaaarrrrk!
