At the Brazil/Venezuela border, I’m seeing first hand the efforts to aid migrants’ dignified arrival and help them rebuild their lives.

‘Operation Welcome’ is a global example led by Brazilian Government that responds to the needs of migrants and a strong comprehensive strategy.

In Roraima, #Brazil, I saw Operation Welcome in action: a civil-military-humanitarian partnership at the main entry point for Venezuelans.

IOM fully supports these efforts, and to date has assisted over 600,000 with documentation and 150,000 with integration across the country.

It was a pleasure to meet with government officials in #Brazil and learn about the impressive work to promote migration policies and concrete measures to assist migrants.
