I thought the Liberals launched a program to train CANADIANS for skilled labour jobs?

On April 29th, Mark Carney announced a $6 Billion dollar program to train 100,000 skilled workers in Canada.

So why is the IRCC now recruiting skilled workers from overseas?

What happened to training Canadians for these jobs?

I’m sure the laid-off auto and steel workers would love these skilled labour training opportunities and jobs.

This looks like another empty Liberal promise.

I am the Conservative Public Safety Critic and a former prosecutor who prosecuted a lot of gun crimes.

I won’t get involved in the race. But I will defend @ScottAAitchison. This is a complete mischaracterization of the bill and who he is. It also doesn’t reflect that his votes have been to keep the guns OFF our streets and punish those who carry them accordingly.

The same Liberals who tabled this bill earlier allowed people caught with handguns on our streets to serve their sentences on house arrest.
