@RikardN@JakeSharpeBBC Gary Neville also said no pen. I firmly believe Kane looked for that contact and forced it. I've played with someone in pro academy who use to train moments like that and was getting my team 5-6 fouls like that in every game.
@RikardN@JakeSharpeBBC You said this..."People making this type of claim have probably never been running at full speed om grass with a ball at their feet.." Thats why I said, that Rooney did and rather well I might add.
You've just called football "soccer"... that ends our conversation. ๐
@RikardN@JakeSharpeBBC Hold on, in your precious msg you've accused me of not knowing how it is to run with the ball on the grass...I'm giving you Rooney as an example of someone who says it's not a pen and you are suddenly changing your narrative...
@RikardN@JakeSharpeBBC I haven't played professional football, I'm assuming you haven't either, but Wayne Rooney did and he is of the same opinion as me, that Kane forced the contact and referee made a correct decision.
@JakeSharpeBBC What I'm trying to say is that Kane could have easily run pass the gk, but moved his legs sideway to make sure there is a contact with the gk. He instigated that contact. Thats why for me this is not a pen.
@JakeSharpeBBC Not necessarily. If you apply this logic then strikers would be just running into defenders and demanding fouls. There would be no need for changing direction on the pitch.
@JakeSharpeBBC Keeper takes his hands underneath his body. You can see that Kane is throwing himself at the gk to make contact. He could have jumped over him and simply put the ball into the net. I agree with the refs here. Kane is trying to force the contact here.
