Imagine someone attacking you over a version of you that only exists in their head. They created a whole false narrative about you, got angry at their own imagination, and even recruit others to come up against you over a story they created. Then had the nerve to call you crazy. The projection is wild. ๐
Interpool is up to something here.
Next will be AI companies announcing geo-restrictions to certain products.
But remember they created this generative AI technologies o, but itโs the way Africans use them that is the problem.
Create a loophole, use this loophole to their advantage, accuse Africa of doing the same, then punish the continent in some forms.
Will they withdraw the products totally? No. They will simply limited its usage for African consumers the way it suits them, while allowing the parts of it that will allow them to continue carrying out their surveillance activities and injecting their preferred narratives.
We know this pattern.
I am very scared for what the real future of music is. Music used to be governed by what people just felt. Now, everyone is trying to please the algorithm, it now feels like a โsportโ, more than it feels like an expression.
We used to make the sound of music from inspiration and years of experience and devotion to the practise. Today? People can make music from a putting a sentence in a software. Yes it is a โtoolโ but what does this tool mean for those who have spent years in the practice. If music becomes this easily created, what then makes artistes or singers, musicians special? Genuinely curious and not in a good way, about what all this means.
I remember the first time I saw StylPlus sing, it was like Magic. Artistes sat for hours recording, creating, layering music, mixing, mastering, balancing.
Technology and AI is here. Since music is easier to create and access now, the โvalueโ of an artiste is shifting more away from the art the artiste can actually make, and is shifting to the level of โCelebrityโ that the Artiste can be.
I worry alot but, I just hope we Artistes and singers remain valueable regardless of wherever technology wants to go/reach.
