Universal rule of #leadership 117: there's a perfect, positive correlation between #humility and #intelligence (and in turn, #arrogance and #stupidity).
You'd be surprised to see how many people still confuse humility for weakness. Here's 5 reasons why you should stick to humble leaders:
- They don't feel threatened by smart people and will embrace talent
- They have a genuine desire to learn and will inevitably continue to grow
- They understand the importance of managing down as much as up
- They are great listeners and as a result, will take better decisions
- They are willing to admit when they are wrong and learn from mistakes.
Sadly, we don't always get to choose our manager but that's not necessarily bad news. By going through the experience of working with bad leaders you'll learn to become a great one yourself!
