🚨 BREAKING:
Spain accepted the first Palestinian Ambassador following its recognition of the State of Palestine.
"An honorable country, SPAIN, deserves respect."
🚨 BREAKING:
The BBC has reportedly gathered evidence that more than 160 Palestinian children in Gaza were deliberately shot in the head by Israeli snipers.
The reports stated: "Israeli Jews hunt children for entertainment."
Imagine someone turning up at your door and saying….
“This isn’t your home anymore. It’s mine.”
You refuse. You fight to keep what is yours.
You plead for someone, anyone to stand with you.
And the world turns its back.
On 30 September 2000, the world watched as Jamal al-Durrah tried to shield his 12 year old son, Muhammad, from Israeli occupation forces. Muhammad al-Durrah was killed that day, a child whose final moments, caught on camera, became one of the most searing images of the Second Intifada and of Palestinian history.
For Palestinians, this is not just footage preserved in history. It is a wound carried across generations. We recognize Jamal’s outstretched arm because it is every parent’s instinct, to shield, to sacrifice, to stand between their child and harm. We remember Muhammad not as an image, but as a boy with a name, a family, and a future that was stolen. His killing was not something we merely saw; it was something we absorbed, something that settled into our collective memory and never left.
“Anybody in the Ireland set up that takes part in the game with Israel should hang their head in shame. I loved pulling on the Ireland jersey, it meant everything to me but this is wrong. This isnt politics, this is a simple matter of right and wrong.”
- James McClean
The Hibernian FC stands in Edinburgh, Scotland, have a strong Irish and working-class heritage dating back to the club’s foundation in 1875. The club was founded by Edinburgh’s Irish immigrant community.
One of the most notable figures in Hibernian’s history is James Connolly. The Irish socialist, revolutionary and one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, Connolly was a Hibernian supporter.
Today, one of the most important organised supporter groups at Hibs is Block Seven. The group was founded at the end of 2021 and quickly became one of the leading supporter groups in the Hibernian stands.
There are subgroups within Block Seven that define themselves through clear political positions such as being anti-police, anti-monarchy and supporting the Palestinian cause.
An anti-racist and anti-discrimination stance is also quite prominent in the Hibernian stands. In 2024, Block Seven strongly opposed Hibs’ decision to appoint Malky Mackay as Sporting Director. They considered the appointment unacceptable due to Mackay’s past racist, homophobic and sexist messages.
This opposition was not limited to Block Seven. Hibees Pride and the Hibernian Women Supporters Alliance also opposed Mackay’s appointment. Thus, Hibs’ organised supporter groups took a common stance against racism, homophobia and other forms of discrimination.
Anti-monarchism is also clearly visible in the Hibs stands. During Charles III’s coronation in 2023, Hibernian supporters chanted anti-monarchy slogans during the match against St Mirren.
There have also been clear examples of solidarity with Palestine in the Hibernian stands. Hibs supporters have displayed Palestinian flags in the stands in recent years.

«Donald Trump è un presidente affetto da demenza che ha scatenato violenza nelle città americane, ha fatto schizzare alle stelle i prezzi dei generi alimentari, ha rovinato gli agricoltori e ora vi fa pagare la sua sfarzosa sala da ballo. Questi profittatori egoisti, razzisti, misogini, non sono un'anomalia del Partito Repubblicano. Sono la corrente principale». (J.B. Pritzker, governatore dell’Illinois)
