One year. It’s been one full year since #BBN lost one of it’s champions. We are honoring Marco, the Shemwell’s, and in partnership with @MarcoShemwell foundation. 50% of the net proceeds will go back to the foundation. Now at https://t.co/m81hdaJJJY
You might've noticed a new addition to the @UKFootball Cat Walk this season. Every week, a child from Kentucky Children's Hospital will join the team in a specially designed car.
We'll have more on this week's #BBNTV.
On this #MarcoMonday#LaborDay -let’s do something nice for those working or volunteering today!
Tip your server a little extra, thank a police officer or other first responder, take a treat to hospital staff, let a salesperson or cashier know you appreciate them! #MarcoMoments
You’ll see more about this at the Cat Walk tomorrow, but I can’t help but share how excited we are to welcome special fans from @KCHKids and proud of @LukeNV77 for his involvement!
In just three days, we collected 216 birthday boxes, and there are numerous other locations across the state and region collecting these gifts – thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause in memory of such a special boy.
Marco Shemwell, who tragically died last year, would have turned 5 this Sunday, August 25 – and in memory of his birthday, the @MarcoShemwell Foundation collected items to create birthday boxes for kids who might not otherwise have much of a celebration.
Yesterday, before our match we made a quick stop at Dollar General to give back. 😊 Each girl purchased a couple items to put together a “Birthday Box” honoring Marco Shemwell.#giveback#gohuskies 💚 https://t.co/efH9yoteCo @MarcoShemwell
As a father to three little ones, otolaryngologist Dr. Ken Iverson knows all about taking care of sick children. That's why he finds it so rewarding to see children get better – and to see parents watch their children get better. https://t.co/xRtD5x6rD6
Here's to every patient and caregiver. Every nurse and doctor. Every researcher, therapist, tech and team member. Across the Commonwealth and beyond, you prove The #PowerofAdvancedMedicine every day. #WeAreProof
The first time UK Hospital conducted an honor walk was for 4-year-old Marco Shemwell, who was killed in a collision outside a Kentucky football game in 2018. Now, the hospital is holding the ceremonies for donor families. https://t.co/LXNWPvLyvN
