YOU KNOW WHAT? I WAS RIGHT!
I'VE BUILT THIS DECK FROM 0 TO BURST EACH TIER 1 AND HERE I AM
FOR THE 2ND TIME, 6-0 AND TOP8 AT THIS LAST REDBULL UNTAPPED ๐ฎ๐น 3RD PLACE IN SWISS
1st 5-0 in pioneer playing Gruul Cutter!
Trying to explore Pioneer again for the first time since last year, looks balanced.
Cori Steel probably the best card in the format at the moment, Phoenix the best deck overall
@fireshoes ๐๐ป
๐ 1st league, 1st trophy of the new season! ๐ฆ
I just wanted to try Roku in a massive way ๐ That was almost a fun comeback to "The One Ring era".
Destroy evil also looking like the new technology to fight riddler and other stuff
#BorosEnergy@fireshoes ๐๐ป
Ended up 5-2 -> 5-3 losing to Goryo the Win&In in #RCAntwerp
I really liked my decklist today and I played at my best, even so sucks to keep 7 otd with 2 lands and never drawing the third one ๐ซ
Still in love with competitive Magic, the curse never ends
@toothymtg1 I think that aswell about the few numbers of eldrazi, I am simply afraid to have one loss if I try to dodge them and I don't succeed ๐
I like High noon btw, I would probably try a split 2-1 with damping to not be completely naked against them
@toothymtg1 I agree on damping beeing medium against amulet and probably bad against prowess, but I feel like committing more on the board could be what they want us to do sometimes. No charmaw or damping btw means that you are not respecting eldrazi or tron at all, right?
@innaig88@fireshoes They usually side out mutagenic, so vexing bauble is not very effective.
Sometimes it can hit a plotted Slickshot or bauble
It can be played, but voice is strong with Guide and with bombardment to clear pieces, I would think about other cards to side out if you like bauble
๐ 8th Trophy with Boros Energy!
Same maindeck as the last leagues. Just trying to understand if I can find a spot for Celestial purge nยฐ2.
Changed my sb plans a bit, atm I side bauble against blinks decks with 4 Ephemerate.
Showdowns solve the mirror and blinks
@fireshoes ๐๐ป
@innaig88@fireshoes Prowess: -4 Ragavan -2 Moon +2 Wrath +1 Purge +1 High noon +2 W/T and I play a control game.
Jeskai: -2 Ocelot -2 Guide -1 Bomb -1 Voice
+2 Surgical +1 Purge +2 Showdow +1 Moon
I used to side out Ragavan but he attacks into Phelia and can make you moon on T2.
@fanahovamtg@fireshoes The card I am probably putting in my radar to be switched is high noon,
Showdown made me won too many mirrors and blink matches.
I am more afraid of goryo's frog than Phlage
Post board we have 1 prison 1 purge 2 charm and 2 surgical to deal with that (if they didn't cheat it)
@PiemontiAndrea So following this line you would prefer to develop, right?
The problem around wrath is that the more the game goes on the stronger it becomes until they are forced to play it. Ragavan dash into ocelot would be fine too but you lose a lot to phelia + payoff
@PiemontiAndrea But why did you play guide instead of ragavan on t1?
I think if you don't have a removal it's better to play ragavan so that forces a removal or a trade with phelia.
Keeping in hand guide and ocelot is a good way to rebuild against wrath too
@PiemontiAndrea The other plays are too weak, ajani is weak to phelia alone and voice is weak to phlage (If we assume he has phelia in hand I would play around that and not around wrath too)
You will have to commit to force a wrath at one point, this decks has few ways to play around that card
