How much Araucaria Mixed Forest remains? Novel perspectives on conservation status based on satellite imagery and policy review

I would like to share a recently published paper from our group, which I believe might be of interest to you.
Finally, we propose possibilities for the conservation and restoration of this unique forest type.
Please share it with anyone who might be interested in the paper.
We also demonstrate that only 13% of these remnants are within protected areas or Indigenous Territories, and we provide a review of public policies for the conservation of Araucaria Mixed Forest over time.
In the paper, we show that only 4.3% of Araucaria Mixed Forest remains throughout its entire distribution in S Brazil and NE Argentina and highlight the 10 largest remaining patches.
I would like to share our paper "A framework to apply trait-based ecological restoration at large scales" recently published in the Special Feature: UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration of the Journal of Applied Ecology:

That allows the restoration practitioner to verify if functional parameters are truly optimized and which species should be added to the market or collected from the wild to achieve restoration targets.
Our framework selects native species to achieve multiple targets in large-scale trait-based restoration initiatives. The framework shows a range of solutions that can be achieved with the regional species pool.
In this paper, we propose a new framework to select species for restoration considering the challenges of planning restoration at large scales, especially in tropical megadiverse countries.
A framework to apply trait-based ecological restoration at large scales 🌱
Shows possible outcomes with available and not available species, helping to meet restoration targets and plan species supply in large-scale restoration 📈
