@wwfcofficial We cannot be taken seriously when we have Leahy in the starting 11 still. Christ 😂 Also a back 5 just shows how negative we are going to be this game.
This is superb from @SuellaBraverman. She tears SHREDS out of the govts dangerous decision to ignore safety concerns and house illegal migrants in Piddington.
She rightly calls out the fact there are NO female Labour MPs taking part in this debate.
She does NOT hold back! 🔥
Excellent article in the Wall Street Journal on Britain's unsustainable welfare spending:
— 7 million people (over 10% of the UK population) now claim at least one or more sickness or disability benefit. This is up 60% in the past 6 years.
— The UK will spend over £100 billion pound this year on sickness and disability benefits. This is projected to increase to £130 billion a year by 2030.
— No other Western country has seen such a rise in disability claims. In the US, 10.6 million people claim some form of federal disability payment, despite the population being 5x larger.
— 1 in 7 new cars sold in the UK are under the Motability scheme; however, only 10% of cars are modified for a disability. In one dealership, 25 out of 26 cars they sold in August were all under the Motability scheme.
— Charities, consultants, YouTubers and TikTokers have all sprung up, telling people how to maximise benefit access. Some of these videos receive hundreds of thousands of views. Over 1,000 people a day are signing on for PIP.
— According to a Government survey from 2024, 25% of the UK's working age population could theoretically be classed as disabled under the current criteria and access these benefits.
— A minimum wage worker who works 40 hours per week would take home around £1,880 per month after tax; however, if you are classed as too sick to work and claim PIP, you can take home £2,000 tax free per month.

Created in 2009.
If it had increased with inflation, it would be £174,000 now.
But the £100k tax trap was extended to 2031 by Rachel Reeves.
The result?
- People turn down promotions.
- Reduce their working hours.
- Avoid earning more.
When you punish productivity, don’t be surprised when you get less of it.
@wwfcofficial The formation does not work…. It may do against poor opposition (Wigan) but against proper sides it does not work. No width, no support at top end of the pitch and we look clueless in our build up.
Birmingham is ranked 1 out of total spending for benefits as a local authority at £4.1bn
The benefits bill per resident is £3,521 which has increased by over 25% in just two years!

@wwfcofficial Junior fallen completely out of contention, real shame as one of the few players we have that can run at and beat players. Formation does him and Mothersille no favours either.
Former England and Premier League striker Danny Ings signs for Wycombe Wanderers 🤝
And our newest recruit could be involved when we take on Reading at Adams Park on Saturday.
Welcome Danny!
Millions of young British men and women are looking at the lives their parents were able to build and wondering whether they will ever have the same opportunities.
The answer for many is a resounding NO.
Buying a home has become vastly more difficult. Often impossible. Starting a family is increasingly expensive. Graduate jobs are fiercely competitive. Taxes are ludicrously high. Rent is outrageous. Public transport, particularly in London, is filthy and costs a bomb.
Modern Britain is not working for young Brits.
After encouraging millions of them to attend university, the state sends many of them into working life carrying enormous student loan balances. Then it charges them outrageous interest on top. It’s a tax, a graduate tax.
It is a scam.
Restore Britain believes it is all fundamentally wrong. It is backwards.
Today we have announced, with a full policy document launch, that a Restore Britain Government will abolish interest on student loans for British nationals resident in the United Kingdom.
And importantly, our policy would apply not only to interest charged in the future, but also to interest already accrued.
We are not, YET, proposing that graduates shouldn't repay the cost of their education.
But government should not be making that mountain higher and higher through accumulated interest while our young people are trying to build their lives.
Every pound swallowed by that unnecessary debt servicing is money that cannot eventually go towards a house deposit, starting a business, raising children or building savings.
A fitting comparison for the wider country's debt, too.
This policy is part of something much bigger for Restore Britain.
Generational fairness.
We cannot leave young people a country in a worse state than the one handed to us.
That is why we have announced our newest policy.
Abolish student-loan interest.
Let repayments actually repay the debt.
Give young Brits a fighting chance to build something of their own.
An important policy announcement.
A Restore Britain Government will abolish interest on all student loans held by British nationals living in our country, including the removal of interest already accrued.
A party backing young British men and women.

🚨 NEW: A billionaire who ranked third in The Times list for Britain’s highest taxpayers has left the UK amid speculation of tax rises
He is worth around £2.6bn and paid £330m in tax last year
The government is handing out guides to illegal migrants training them not to rape women, not to beat women, have sex with children or leave babies alone.
The political class are knowingly enabling the assault of our women and girls at your expense.
I’m about to pay £5,000 in Stamp Duty to move house
In the grand scheme of buying a home, it’s not the biggest cost
But…
The government made £45 million today from people moving house
I’ve already paid Income Tax and National Insurance
Then I’m taxed again just for buying somewhere to live
The same house can generate Stamp Duty over and over again
Why is moving house taxed at all?
