@8LeggedElephant @g0lden8ge Rent doesn’t have to worry about repairs and maintenance and out of that $2400 mortgage for a long time only about $1-200 of it is principal. The biggest drawback to renting rn is just having a landlord and rules regarding what you can do with house.

@Gamingtronium It would actually be pretty useful for preheating feed water if the data center had an onsite power plant, although the complexity juice may not be worth the squeeze and having the two systems intertwined could complicate maintenance.
