I expected 2nd half of #Dune. I got 2h45m of the most stunning cinema since 'The Lord of the Rings'. Comparisons to 'The Empire Strikes Back' are fitting.

#DunePartTwo differs from the book—for better and worse—while beautifully bringing the story's key themes to new audiences.

Comparison reflects epic scale, cinematic achievement, and impact to the genre, however 'Dune' couldn't be any more different story-wise.

Main question may be its presence at (which) film festivals. Now that 'Dune' is more well-known, possibly these will be considered less critical for the second movie.
