We are so proud of our students and teachers, @Katie_Bragg_MHS@NikkiMinich and Mrs. Durvasula, for their enthusiasm in sharing how students and staff utilize technology daily. Thank you LISD One Vision Task Force for your time! @LewisvilleISD@loridrapp#OneLISD
Students drove their mini robots through the matter cycles. Then they shared and discussed the affects of disruptions to the cycles in their short videos. @MHS9th
Field Ecology day. Students calculated amount of carbon sequestered in the trees around Marcus campus and discussed the impacts of deforestation. @MHS9th
Lego evolution fun - Students did an outstanding job of making predictions and making their thinking visible wrt natural selection and gene pool using legos. @MHS9th
Students discussed the limitations of physical modeling as they demonstrated semiconservative DNA replication, and predicted outcomes of mutations using 3D and 2D printed components. Students did a great job documenting their findings. @MHS9th
Students used 3-D printed models to visually explore how structure relates to function and demonstrated the interconnectedness of the photosynthesis and respiration. @MHS9th
The students demonstrated the effect of salt water on the plant cells by applying the principles of cellular transport. Great job with their skills of mounting the samples and investigating. @MHS9th
The exploration of cell membrane and its properties was a fizzy experience with the bubble lab. So proud of how well the students discussed and shared their findings. @MHS9th
Students in biology created different models to illustrate the relationships, flow of energy and matter in an ecosystem. Then they predicted impact of ecological forces on the ecosystem. They were surprised with the resilience and sustainability options of ecosystems. @MHS9th
