@AxeCapital21@Polymarket You mean the Epstein Class & our absolutely corrupt President? It’s time we have people who’ll put forth policies that’ll benefit the average American. (Policies that are popular) Enough with the moderates who only write strongly-worded letters.
@kristenmag@Polymarket@MelissaSebree Whose warnings? Those who elected the Epstein class & a corrupt President? Centrists have caused us to lose election after election. It’s time we elect those who’ll actually support policies that’ll make the average American’s life better. Policies that most people support.
I hope Megyn Kelly's grandchildren watch this video, on a school trip through the museum built to teach future generations of Americans about the moral depravity of the Trump era.
@Tony_Benetto@peterbakernyt@Gallup@stavernise For real. I live in Arkansas. One of my daughter’s friends lived with us because he was kicked out after telling his parents he was gay. It was honestly heartbreaking. Eventually they came to “accept” him some, but they still believed he was a sinner.
@GolfTilDeath@peterbakernyt@Gallup@stavernise After Trump was elected for the 2nd time, I had a crisis of faith in my fellow Americans. I came to the same conclusion as you: there’s a significant minority of people who’re either stupid, evil or both.
@SchneiderMjr@souljagoyteller I think that about sums him up. Most atheists I know are very moral people (they don’t use a book to easily forgive anything they do). I’d be surprised if Trump ever considered the existence of a god or even just morality. And you’re right; he shows contempt for true believers.
Thank you, Secretary Kennedy, for releasing the $700 million in behavioral health funding my father’s administration authorized.
But it should not have taken this long. The delay cost lives.
Putting people living on the streets first is right. They are the easiest to see and the easiest to ignore.
I have no problem with the mission.
I have a problem with one sentence in the guidance: STREETS grants cannot pay for harm reduction.
Harm reduction is not an ideology. It is a clean syringe, naloxone in a backpack, fentanyl test strips in a pocket. A place where someone can be kept breathing instead of being found dead.
I personally know people whose lives were saved by harm reduction. I know you do too. I know what they have done with those lives since. Not one of them would be in recovery today if they didn’t have access to harm reduction. The would be dead.
Anyone serious about recovery knows harm reduction saves lives. Ask people in the rooms. Ask the families keeping naloxone in the kitchen drawer.
If you want the Great American Recovery to mean something, fund what keeps people on this side of the grave. We do recover, but only if we make it out alive.
@fwmarqix As my parents are nearing their 80’s, I try to take a lot of pics & videos when I’m with them. I wish I had started doing it much sooner. My dad had a stroke that has affected his speech. I wish I had more videos prior to his stroke.
@LCook63712837@fwmarqix Omg. Your post reminded me of my glamour shots when I was a teen! My mom & I went together; such a wonderful memory unlocked. Thanks!
I’m usually the one taking the pictures. I hate pics of myself. I only see my flaws or the extra 10 pounds I’ve gained as I close in on 50 years this October.
But reading this post has made me think about pics of me in a new light. From now on, I’m taking them for my kids.
My wife and I were going through some old boxes this weekend, and it hit me how much of our family history is missing because of a very common mistake.
My mother in-law was a wonderful woman, but she absolutely hated being in front of a camera. She was self-conscious about her weight, her hair, whatever it was, she made sure she was always the one taking the photo, never the one in it.
She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago.
When my wife and her siblings sat down to put together a memorial slideshow, it was heartbreaking. They combed through forty years of albums and only found three clear photos of her. Two were side profiles from across a room, and one was blurry.
The only "good" head-on photo my wife has of her mother is her old driver's license. She carries it in her wallet just so she can see her mom's face.
I’m sharing this because I know a lot of us, especially as we get older, start avoiding the camera. We don’t like the gray hair, the extra weight, or the wrinkles.
But here’s the truth: Your children don't see your flaws, They don't see "ugly" or "old."
They see their mother, They see their father, They see the person who was their entire world.
When you’re gone, they aren't going to care if your hair was perfect or if you lost those ten pounds. They are going to be desperate just to see your smile one more time, They're going to want to show your grandkids who you were.
Don't rob them of those memories because of your own insecurities.
Get in the photo, Hold your kids, Smile for the camera, Give them a way to look at you again when you’re no longer there to hold them.
Legacy is more than what you leave in a will, It’s the moments you allow to be captured.
@skylarromines@TonyLaneNV If you truly love & respect wild animals, you shouldn’t pet them. It can cause them to become too friendly w people, which can have disastrous results. Bears that lose their fear of ppl become a public safety threat & are frequently euthanized by wildlife officials.
@BigChiefMannie@TonyLaneNV As for women choosing the bear - the men I know who make light of it or don’t understand - are the reason why women choose the bear. They’re the ones with an abusive past; the ones who shouldn’t be alone with women. Thanks for displaying your 🚩
A woman hiking in Canada nearly became a grizzly’s next meal and the video circulating right now is genuinely one of the most intense wildlife encounters you will ever watch - her dog is with her, a massive grizzly is right there, and somehow she kept her head together long enough for both of them to walk away breathing.
That is not a small thing. Most people talk tough until nature is standing ten feet in front of them and every instinct in your body is screaming to run, and running is exactly the worst thing you can do.
Grizzlies are built to chase, they top out over 700 pounds and can cover ground faster than any human alive. The people who survive these moments are the ones who override pure fear with pure discipline and this woman did exactly that.
If you hike, camp, or spend any real time in the wilderness - bear spray is not optional, it is the difference between a story you tell and one somebody else tells about you.
Could you have kept your cool?
Hats off to her.
@ShaneFrakes I used to be able to lucid dream; I need to work on it again. I have PTSD from an abusive marriage & while I don’t remember a lot of my nightmares, my family tells me that I regularly scream during the night. I imagine that must take some type of toll on my psyche during the day.
@JesseTinsley As a GenX kid, I’m soooo thankful I wasn’t making videos in my teens & 20’s. My views were extremely conservative back then. Thank god they weren’t broadcast out to the internet! Kids today have a so much to deal with. I honestly feel bad for them.
Imagine telling someone in 1999…
The year is 2026.
The President is Donald Trump in his second non consecutive term.
The richest man in the world is PayPal cofounder Elon Musk… but not because of fintech or Paypal. Because of rockets, electric cars, AI, satellites, brain chips and something called “Boring Company”.
Apple is worth trillions but its main business isn’t computers… its selling glass rectangles everyone stares at for 9 hours a day.
People don’t watch TV. They watch teenagers explain geopolitics, finance, and relationship advice in ~60 second videos.
The biggest taxi company owns no taxis.
The biggest hotel company owns no hotels.
The most powerful media companies are social networks where everyone argues with strangers for free.
Kids are making millions filming themselves playing video games.
AI Robots write emails, code, legal memos, songs, essays, and breakup texts.
The internet is mostly bots arguing with humans who are trying to prove they aren’t bots.
You can summon a car, groceries, a doctor, a date, a private jet, or a dog walker from your phone.
People pay real money for invisible currencies, digital monkeys, AI girlfriends and pictures that disappear after 24 hours.
The richest companies in the world don’t sell oil, steel, or cars. They sell attention, compute, data, and addiction.
And somehow, after all of that everyone is still using Excel.
“It’s not conservatives, guys. This is fascism. You can’t reason with these guys. You have to crush them.”
If a liberal or leftist said this about MAGA, they’d be accused by Watters and Fox of trying to incite violence against them. But they can say whatever they want.
