More than 70 percent of recommendations were overturned by the Minister in the latest round, not just a few. For this to happen, the government must have been incompetent in approving the selection guidelines used by the public servants or else completely lacking in integrity.
The argument about the funded projects being ‘Eligible’ is garbage. Demonstrating eligibility and compliance is the beginning of the assessment process, followed by assessment against the selection criteria set out in guidelines. It’s a rort and the Minister should resign.
