I've been thinking how to emphasise to my class the importance of editing their work. Today I used these puzzle pieces I made to demonstrate how editing completes your work, just as the final piece completed our puzzle!
My class loved it !

Today my class with be using talking strips for a verbal persuasive debate and then learning to use the burger model to write a persuasive response.

@MissKGillis This works! I use the same strategy in the Kindergarten class I am working with. I suggest letting students Think-Pair-Share first, and then choose a name. This way, they have time to think and come up with an answer 😊👍 #acuedu_p
