On 30th of October 1974 the soviet political prisoners published a letter of protest against their inhuman treatment. Soviet Union has deceased to exist but until this day we see persecutions and violence against political and ideological opponents in Russia and elsewhere.

Of course our actual social networks are the people around us, the ones we meet face to face every day from our family members to the old lady behind the counter in grocery store. These people ground us and give our life a real dimension. No tech billionaire can buy or sell that.

Elon Musk Twitter acquisition is a sobering reminder that these so called social networks are in fact a private commodity that can be sold, bought, modified, influenced and used for money making. Twitter, Facebook, Tik-tok etc are not a public service despite our perception.

@AgbanyimCaleb Trump is not currently in the office, however I would argue that he is still very relevant figure for this global movement towards populist autocracies. For many Americans he is symbolizing the same expectations that helped Putin, Orban and others.

Putin is not an isolated phenomena in current political climate. From Orban in Hungary to Erdogan in Turkey to Modi in India to Trump in US - we see the rise of the right wing populism all over the planet and everywhere they have one thing in common. They thrive to more power.

other popular trend in knife community are the foldable knives and multitools. Again these look great but are as useless as the survival knives. These are not made for intensive work rather a small replacement for proper tool but they have one big advantage - easy to carry around

the statement "we don't need to worry about the planet, the humanity is what need protection, the planet will be fine" is questionable at least. We don't really know the status of the planet after humanity has eliminated itself. It could look like Earth or Venus or Mars. Fine?

We are very bad with uncertainty because the knowledge gives us an illusion of control. That's why we mix knowledge and faith so effortlessly. That's the reason for religious people to be so certain about their faith. Deep down they not only believe but they also *know*.
