The plane was nosediving thousands of feet, and he fought his way into the cockpit while it was plunging.

The captain was lying on the floor covered in blood after the copilot stabbed him, but he still managed to kick open the cockpit door with his foot.

The copilot was reportedly jamming the controls to bring the plane down, and this regular guy subdued him and pulled the plane back up.

He said he knew how to do it from watching TV.

By some accounts, everyone on board was about three seconds from dying.

He's a normal working man who served in the Israeli army, and when it counted, he didn't freeze.

That's what real courage looks like, and he deserves every bit of hero treatment coming his way.
