@Bookssuz Our daughter was 21 when she died. Many of her gifts had involved booking for various events- a holiday, bungee jump, surfing lessons. Apart from the holiday booking, we didn’t claim anything else. A friend had to deal with the holiday company. So sorry for your loss.
@John_Dabell My husband is nil by mouth following a stroke. I empathise with you. It’s tricky being away from the house for more than a few hours. A visit to A&E yesterday meant carrying a whole bag of supplies- syringe, water, medication, wipes. It was like packing for a holiday!Stay strong
@RetirementTales As someone who remembers the pre Ofsted days, I agree with every word! School inspectors were humans with good subject knowledge and offered helpful advice. There was no fear factor.
@BrianCHouston@nytimes@nytopinion I cannot believe you would back President Trump and condemn the pope! Have you read the New Testament recently? Jesus certainly wouldn’t back a warmongering, corrupt man.
@IsabelOakeshott Odd of you to say that when he was at Maundy Thursday services yesterday. His Easter duties start before the troublemakers decide he’s not celebrating Easter their way!
@GeorgeFoulkes Common sense says cancel the World Cup matches in the USA. The country has chosen to go to war with Iran. Iran can’t safely send a team. King Charles should have cancelled his visit months ago. Surely it will be cancelled now?
@petemorristwit Having taught in a mixed faith school, I can say that nobody is forced to celebrate any religious festival! Children learn about several faiths in RE. Nothing is forced on them. You sir are mistaken, or deliberately trying to mislead.
@zatzi Lent is supposed to be the time where Christians prepare for Easter. They often fast, pray more and are striving to obey Christian teachings such as ‘Love your neighbour’ How is the Rees-Mogg family starting their 6 weeks? Are the loving the Muslims among us. Apparently not!
@WestminsterWAG I’m a Christian, church going old lady and literally nobody has ever said ‘happy Shrove Tuesday’ to me. Ash Wednesday is the holy day associated with the beginning of lent.
@dunstablian You mean the millions that bought into the lies and propaganda and are now desperate to rejoin! Dream on! The public have seen the truth and nobody with sense believes Brexit has done anything good.
@Baumann_Mac@AngusTaylorMP This is also true in the UK. Our NHS and care sector is multiethnic and vital. Some politicians are shouting ‘send them home’ and blaming immigration for the problems they have created.
@EdwardJDavey This post really disappoints me. I thought better of you. The PM was elected and is trying his best. He isn’t perfect, nor are you! Climbing the Reform bandwagon to force an election doesn’t suit you or your party.
@LucyTCWife Madam, if you had had more self respect and decency, you wouldn’t have a criminal conviction. May I suggest you stop posting on social media for a while.
