I am conducting a short academic survey on the use of AI tools in professional translation workflows. The survey is anonymous and takes 10 minutes.
If you are a professional translator, your participation would be extremely valuable.

Thank you
Thanks to the Visiting Professors Scheme @SapienzaRoma for giving Donatella Montini and Me the chance to invite @elenasemino and @j_culpeper to deliver their lectures within our PhD program 🙏
And so, after spending years eagerly studying their books, chapters, and articles, @j_culpeper and @elenasemino are finally "mine" for a whole month as visiting professors at @SapienzaRoma—and they’ll be sharing an office with @MargheDore25 and me!😍😍😍
Watch this (whole thread), then explain why you’re OK with a man beating a woman in public for your entertainment. This isn’t sport. From the bullying cheat in red all the way up to the organisers who allowed this to happen, this is men revelling in their power over women.
Notifications of results for the “AVT and MA in Education” Conference sent!! Exhausted but thrilled to have such an interesting number of authors coming to Rome to present their work! 🙏🙏

with a contribution that is very close to my heart on Macbettu, Alessandro Serra’s Sardinian adaptation of Shakespeare’s masterpiece. Thanks, Irene Ranzato and Luca Valleriani, for all your work and for choosing a sentence in Sardinian for the title of Part 2, link in 🧵
Publishers ask for reviews but are no longer willing to spare a paper copy, and I’m not talking about expensive books like handbooks, just a regular academic book. Not sure I can keep on doing this. 😩
I’m very happy to inform you that the call for papers for
AUDIOVISUAL TRANSLATION AND MEDIA ACCESSIBILITY IN EDUCATION: A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
is now open.
5-6 December 2024, Sapienza University of Rome
