Kingston ON gets a P.A.C.E. program for home energy retrofits. https://t.co/FPi3iFIT7x NB Municipalities (with few exceptions) cannot access this money to help their citizens. Need legislative change from PNB to facilitate this.
Join me and chip in to help @standearth protect primary forests from being turned into wood pellets:

Legislature's committee on climate change is beginning five days of meetings this morning at 10 a.m. to hear from experts on a new five-year plan for the province. Some background here: https://t.co/gfbYH3cTzR
At 7pm on Dec. 8 I will be participating in a municipal councillor discussion on climate change https://t.co/E3zy9VxvHB Included in this shindig are me, Sabine Dietz from Sackville, a Councillor from Quispamsis and Brent Harris of Saint John (convenor).
Canada's one of the world's biggest financiers of fossil fuels. This isn't climate leadership. Will you end funding of int'l fossil fuel projects by 2022 @S_guilbeault@JonathanWNV? #COP26 https://t.co/HPTawYeUt9 via @leadnowca
When someone moans about $3.5 trillion spending over 10 years, perhaps remind them that the estimates for the cost of unchecked climate change top out at $551 trillion, which is more money than there is on earth at the moment.
On #RedDressDay, we remember and honour the many Indigenous women and girls we have lost to violence.
More must be done to stand up against this injustice – and to enact the recommendations of the National Inquiry. #MMIWG
Tax avoidance, whether in the Isle of Man, Bermuda or elsewhere, is "fraud" - a massive rip-off of those of us who actually ante up and pay our fair share of taxes. https://t.co/tUVx9LFpjZ
Out knocking on doors today. Great reception (had a mask on & stood well away from the door). Record #of comments on Officers' Square--most bad, only one saying "get it done." This on Manresa Dr., frmr home to Ward 1 & Officers Square 'revitalization' supporter Councillor Keenan.
So pleased to be able to feature some of the very talented artists in Ward 1 in Fredericton. Karen Leblanc is a weaver and Brigitte Clavette is a metalsmith. There are so many others tucked away...know any of them?
Seems appropriate to mark this day. Too many are killed working for others' benefit. The COVID pandemic has seen too many deaths of essential workers. Thank you to those who remain on the job despite the dangers.
@lynayanb Seems this service delivers recyclables to the Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission. Costs $17/month. No mention of what happens after it arrives at the landfill. Relies on FRSWC to find markets for the stuff. Otherwise, over it goes!
@lynayanb Fascinating. I called them; their website is https://t.co/xHqGINU5uY and I will look into this. Chucking all apt waste into the landfill seems like an arcane process. And reduces your landfill's lifespan. Death-span?
I retweet this because a civil society group I support asked Fredericton City Council on several occasions to present on declaring a Climate Emergency. They refused to hear or refer us to Committee. STU Students got same treatment. How is that democracy?
Hit the Northside Trail: I and my volunteers will be at a table on the trail at McAdam Avenue tomorrow from 10am-1pm and we would love to meet you. Mini-pots containing future giants will be given to those who stop by to chat. Come pick up trail garbage. COVID protocols observed
