A lovely review of this weekends #KickUpAFUS event ❤️🔥 We have now hosted two strip club takeovers and it turns out its very easy to manage a strip club without abusing your workers!! 💸 Check out the full review: https://t.co/giwboWRYbh
Fuck this pro-eugenics, ableist Government who is stopping spending on services for disabled carers and equipment deemed as "not essential" for the last three months of the fiscal year (til June ffs). (1)
“If you can work you should work” is ableist AF and also ignores that people know what work best for them, their families and communities. Instead of sanctions we could have proper support for people to enter secure work instead of tick-box exercises. Benefit sanctions must go!
If we want people to ‘support themselves’ we need to make work accessible, mana enhancing, and fairly compensated. The people don’t want to work for your profits anymore. Deal with it.
I work for a social service primarily supporting people on benefits I fully endorse Max Harris’s sentiments. I also advocate for workers rights and think is it RIDICULOUS to expect people to want to get into paid employment while also reducing workers access to workplace justice.
Are you ready to Kick Up a FUS? Our second strip club takeover is here and this time were taking over @ValhallaNZ ❤️🔥 Get your tickets: https://t.co/cxlTZbvuDt
A massive tēnā koutou to everyone who came out to our stripper picnic! We handed over our written submission in support of our petition to parliament demanding fair and safe working conditions for adult entertainers in Aotearoa. Justice for strippers! ❤️🔥 #KickUpAFUS 👠
Breaking: Māori have filed an urgent claim to the Waitangi Tribunal, alleging a number of Government policies are in breach of the Treaty of Waitangi. It’s being led by the Ngi Te Rangi Settlement Trust.
This is an excellent statement that should be wholeheartedly supported by anyone with a shred of humanity. The vile quote tweets reinforce yet again how insidious sw stigma is. @swunion_uk have a million times more integrity, courage & intellect than these gross quote tweeters.
It is SO IMPORTANT that we have the public (you) standing with us on Saturday. Clubs rely on social stigma to ensure workers feel alone, making us easier to control. Your voice can change that. Use it.
Join us on Saturday! Dancers at The Mermaid Wellington have been trying to improve their working conditions for almost 4 months. The response from the owner was to start firing dancers for standing up for their rights & firing some for not taking their underwear off for free!
