I would not be afraid to punch you on the face or kill you if you keep doing that.
Now the consequence of judging =hurting or death, people will stop using them continuously. That's the way.
Many women especially donkeys always forget being called beautiful is still judging. /5
Simply like beauty.
It is not: Keep trying to become Beautiful that patriarchy want
Or: Expand the meaning of beauty: every kind, everyone is Beautiful
It is: You dont have the right to Define me.
Making Judgments about me without my permission IS offensive for me. /4
4. Release guilt: In enmeshed families guilt and manipulation are used. We might be called selfish or even compared to other siblings who are more willing to go along with the status quo. It's ok to be your own person, it's actually healthy.
For a long time I thought people pleasing and putting others before myself made me a good person. It look me a while to see there were elements of control and manipulation behind it. I wasn't doing it because I wanted to, I was doing it because I didn't want to deal with my own guilt of disappointing someone. And I couldn't deal with anyone having a negative perception of me.
It was self centered, but I was telling myself it was for other people.
It's a gift to wake up.
Our body remembers these experiences, and we can live with a fear of abandonment. That little voice in our head (our ego) says someone's going to leave us, that we're unloveable, or that we can't trust anyone. This is self protection.
People raised in homes without conflict resolution can feel blindsided, hurt, or highly annoyed by any situation where they don't have control.
Their nervous system goes into threat mode.
The body always remembers.
In successful relationships, people know their concerns matter, their perspectives are valued, and their viewpoint (even when we don't agree) will be heard.
This is openness, or the ability to take feedback even when uncomfortable.
Defensiveness is an attempt to control the narrative rather than: find a solution, stay connected to our partner, or to come together as a team.
It sends the message: your concerns don't matter to me.
Defensiveness disconnects us from our partner, and creates a situation where they can't come to us with issues or concerns. We also feel like we're never heard, reinforcing core beliefs from childhood that we're always misunderstood or can't ask for help.
Insecure parents seek a sense of self worth through their children.
They create (sometimes even before the child is born) a fantasy version of who the child will be. Based on their own needs, not the unique traits of their child. They struggle to actually connect with the child emotionally, and instead stay connected to a mental version of who their child ‘should’ be.
Children of these parents subconsciously feel like the relationship is transactional. And, that if they don’t fulfill their parents needs (accomplish, perform, be ‘perfect’) their parent will not approve of them.
As adults they sometimes have double lives, or two “selves”— the self they present to a parent and the self they present to the rest of the world.
At their core, they want nothing more than to be loved and accepted by a parent not for what they do, but for who they truly are.
There is no greater feeling that re-creating yourself. Especially if you never learned healthy love, or didn’t have the best examples of how to navigate life. Nobody but you knows how hard it was to pull yourself up from emotional rock bottom. Those lessons made you who you are, and no one can take them away from you.
