Iβm going to go out on a limb and set up a WhatsApp group for Psyc teachers who are advanced in their career - maybe 4+ years? A group to go beyond the typical intro questions as there are spaces available for that. Please retweet and DM me with your number if you wan to join
From one of my year 13 psychology students today after the paper 3 exam. The funniest but most emotional message I've ever received. I already miss them all πͺ
When you have such deep meaningful conversations with year 12/13 you remember why you love your subject and why it is so important! Putting the world to rights with 16/17 year olds is incredible #socialscience#psychology#Sociology#lovemyjob
NEW! One-pager on questioning techniques to elicit evidence of learning. Thanks to the inspirational people featured: @Doug_Lemov@teacherhead@DTWillingham π
New episode of The Love To Teach Podcast!
Working Memory with Professor Alan Baddeley ππ»π§ (Baddeley & Hitch)

Just re-drafted my forgetting curve graphic to try to show that when done well, retrieval grows the top line- ie students aren't just preserving what they learned initially but growing/expanding it.
(Also kind of a window into what nerdy people like me do for fun)
@BoothVillePri πππ how are us parents supposed to top this trip during the summer after a compliment like that??!! π€£π€£ #bestprimaryschool
There can be confusion about being βevidence-informedβ. This diagram shows the importance of evidence from research alongside teacher expertise, experience & context - not dismissing it. I certainly embrace being an evidence-informed teacher & leader as do many others I know!
Blown away by the year 6 Lion King show this morning! It was so emotional thinking back to the shy Tyler in the reception class play to now see him so full of confidence. Thank you for all you have done to help him grow into a young man ready for secondary school @BoothVillePri
