Well Done Netherlands 🇳🇱.
This is not just about fireworks. It is about a country making a clear choice.
Starting from the New Year period of 2026 to 2027, the Netherlands will ban citizens from buying and using fireworks nationwide. This is not a small change. It shifts a long tradition into something more controlled and safer.
For years, New Year nights in the Netherlands brought chaos. Streets filled with smoke. Emergency rooms crowded with injuries. Fires breaking out in neighborhoods. Police and firefighters stretched to their limits.
But there is another side that often gets ignored.
Animals across the country go into panic during fireworks. Dogs shaking inside homes. Cats hiding under beds for hours. Birds flying into buildings in the dark. Shelters filling with lost pets the next day.
They do not understand celebration. They only feel fear.
This decision is meant to reduce that harm. Citizens will no longer be allowed to buy or set off fireworks. Fewer random explosions in neighborhoods. More control over how celebrations happen.
Professional shows may still take place. But the loud, unpredictable noise in residential areas will be reduced.
This is what change looks like when a government responds to years of pressure from safety experts, emergency workers, and animal welfare concerns.
Less chaos. Less harm. More peace.
And for animals, a quieter night is everything.

Yet another non-custodial sentence 😡!
Prolific backyard breeder Tara Carroll, aka Tara Crofts, 57, from Mapperley, Nottingham NG3 – allowed a litter of nine poorly puppies to die.
The RSPCA became aware of the poor condition of the litter of Dogue de Bordeaux puppies in June and July 2025 after one of them was belatedly taken to a vet.
RSPCA prosecutorJanita Patel said that when investigators visited the home of mother-of-six Tara Carroll they found four dead puppies in the garden and another in a kennel.
A further three puppies had to be put to sleep by a vet due to their poor condition.
Carroll told RSPCA staff that her 15-year-old daughter was responsible for the puppies’ care. She was advised that this was not appropriate as the girl was a minor.
The RSPCA issued Carroll with a warning notice but when they returned they found that things had not improved at the property.
The prosecutor said that the puppies had been suffering for a “considerable time” and were living in a dirty space.
Sausage dogs and a spaniel were also living in poor conditions at the address.
Defending Carroll, Ali Roodbari said the “tragic” death of the dogs was not due to deliberate cruelty but due to a “lack of judgement, lack of understanding, and a failure to act quickly” to get them treatment.
He claimed that the decline of the litter’s health was also consistent with an outbreak of parvovirus, a highly contagious disease that can be fatal to dogs.
“She stands before you today genuinely remorseful. She is someone who deeply cares about animals.”
He argued that his client also had medical issues and a child with autism who required her care, taking away from her ability to care for the animals.
Judge Sunil Khanna agreed that it was tragic the puppies had died, but also said it was tragic that Carroll had initially felt she was not responsible for their care.
However, when factoring in that the mother had “considerable” responsibilities for her children, Judge Khanna decided not to sentence her to immediate prison time.
Sentencing: - eight-week custodial sentence suspended. Banned from having any animals for eight years.

🚨CRUELTY: Cllr Zoe Marlow STARVED her dog Laney to a skeleton.
Vets had no choice but to euthanize the suffering dog.
Convicted Oct 2025: community order, £120 fine +dog ban.
Yet she’s STILL a Manchester councillor in 2026 while Greens lecture on animal welfare.
Disgusting.
Well Done Moby 🙏
Moby Pledges 100% of Coachella Profits to Animal Rights Causes
Moby says he will donate all of his profits from his 2026 Coachella performances to four animal rights organisations, tying the shows to a cause he has supported for years. The announcement places animal welfare at the center of his festival return and adds a charitable focus to one of the year’s most visible music events.
The commitment, shared alongside details of his Coachella appearance, names Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Farm Sanctuary, Mercy For Animals, and Sea Shepherd as the groups that will receive the money. Moby has long been outspoken about veganism and animal protection, and this latest pledge continues that public work in a direct way.
His return to the festival also reconnects him with Coachella after past appearances that helped define earlier eras of the event. This time, the performance comes with a clear message beyond the music. Rather than treating the shows as a standard festival booking, Moby is using the moment to support organisations focused on animal advocacy, rescue, and public awareness.

The RSPCA is looking for a man after a ginger cat was found taped inside a pet carrier, wrapped in a bin bag, and thrown over a fence into a garden in Basildon, Essex. The three-year-old cat was taken to a vet, where it was found to have no injuries but was clearly stressed. A CCTV image of the man, described as white and wearing glasses, a dark jacket, and a light blue T-shirt, has been released as investigators appeal for witnesses.
York man Nicholas Radley-Holmes, 37, who had a history of violence towards women has admitted breaking a dog’s leg by kicking or throwing it downstairs.
He will be sentenced at a later date. Let’s hope he gets a PRISON sentence.
Research confirms a strong, well-documented link between animal cruelty and violence toward humans, often referred to by researchers and law enforcement as "The Link". Studies show that people who are violent to humans are, in many cases, also violent to animals. 😡
