Pastor Adeboye Did Not Protest Against President Goodluck Jonathan’s Government
A false narrative has been circulating online, accompanied by a photograph of Pastor E.A. Adeboye holding a placard during a public walk. The image has repeatedly been misrepresented as evidence that Pastor Adeboye led or participated in a protest against the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
This claim is FALSE.
The photograph in question was taken during a peaceful nationwide walk held in response to a directive issued by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) during the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari. Churches across Nigeria were instructed to hold peaceful walks after service, calling attention to the persistent killings of Christians and urging the government to take decisive action to protect lives.
The walk in Ebute Metta, where Pastor Adeboye participated, was part of that nationwide exercise. It was neither organized against President Goodluck Jonathan nor connected in any way to his administration.
Ironically, despite the significant media presence at the event when it took place, some of the same photographs have years later been recycled and falsely presented as evidence of a protest against a completely different government.
It is important to note that Pastor Adeboye’s message during the walk was clear: all lives matter to God. His placard emphasized the value of every human life, regardless of religious affiliation. The call was for the protection of innocent Nigerians, both Christians and Muslims.
Yes, Nigeria is facing enormous challenges, and citizens have every right to desire solutions. However, the growing demand that Pastor Adeboye should “command” the President or the First Lady on how to run the affairs of the nation is both unrealistic and unreasonable.
Pastor Adeboye is a clergyman, not the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Nevertheless, he has not remained silent.
During the November 2025 Holy Ghost Service, Pastor Adeboye publicly offered counsel to the President of Nigeria regarding the worsening security situation and the continued killing of innocent citizens by terrorists. He warned that urgent action was necessary before foreign powers found justification to intervene in Nigeria under the guise of combating terrorism.
He further advised that security chiefs should be given a clear ultimatum to decisively address the menace or vacate their positions.
In his words:
“When they eliminate the terrorists, ask them to eliminate their sponsors too.”
At 84 years old, Pastor Adeboye continues to provide spiritual leadership, moral counsel, and national guidance within the limits of his office as a minister of the Gospel.
For the avoidance of doubt:
• Pastor Adeboye cannot command the President or the First Lady on how to govern Nigeria.
• Pastor Adeboye and RCCG are not responsible for the current challenges facing the nation.
• RCCG is not a political party.
• Pastor Adeboye does not hold political office and was not elected into government.
• RCCG is not the religious arm of any political party in Nigeria.
Facts matter. Context matters. Truth matters.

Watch the highlights.
She was sacked. She is from rivers state, OGONI .
Her offence ?
Attending Peter Obi rally in port harcourt on her off day and posting it online.
She was not on duty. It was her off duty.
Her boss saw it online.
The next day when she came to work.
He asked her, why she went for Peter Obi rally. She said it was her off duty.
He immediately sacked her and told her to go and meet Peter Obi to give her a job .
She came social media and cried out and cried out. I told one of staff to reach out to her and invite her.
I collected the information of the hotel and sent my CSO to investigate.
He came back and told me it was true and her boss said Peter Obi should give her a job.
I hate it so much when the rich intimidate the poor.
And GOD is not happy when people maltreat the poor.
So the only I can fight back is to use SPIRITUAL POWER OF GOD and use tithes that come into the church to raise every poor I encounter like 42 free schools , 2 free hospitals, overseas job placement, local and international scholarship for the poor.
So I immediately took up her case.
First asked her how much was her salary in the hotel they sacked her.
She said 18,000. I mean eighteen thousand Naira only. PURE WICKEDNESS FROM A WICKED RICH MAN.
What can 18k buy ?
I immediately employed her in OPM printing press.
I told her , you are a young girl, why are you not going to school ?
She said her parents don’t have money to send her to university and eighteen thousand Naira salary can not do anything about school unless prostitution which she vowed to GOD never to do.
So I immediately i immediately placed her on opm university Schlarship ( local university)
She wrote jamb and passed and gained admission to study ACCOUNTING in Ignatius Ajuru University.
I instructed my chief of staff to be allowing to go school and work anytime she has no lectures.
And today she is on her FINAL YEAR studying accounting.

Pastor Paul Enenche is fearless. He reminds me of Old Testament prophets that spoke truth to power. The prophets of old were no cowards.
They looked evil in the eye wherever they went:
Nathan challenged King David.
St. Paul challenged Emperor Nero.
St. Peter challenged Emperor Nero.
Amos challenged King Jeroboam II.
Moses challenged Pharaoh Ramses II.
Isaiah challenged Ahaz & Hezekia in Judah.
Daniel was up against King Darius of Persia.
Elijah & Jehoiada challenged Queen Athaliah.
Jeremiah dared Kings Jehoiakim & Zedekiah.
Elijah challenged King Ahab & Queen Jezebel.
Hosea clashed with corrupt leaders in Samaria.
Jonah clashed with Assyrian Empire in Nineveh.
And these are just some of the few examples.
Citizens can cower, but men of God must be fearless. Why? Because it is righteousness that exalts a nation. When nations were challenged, it was fearless men of God that led the way.
In many cases, their courage led to the downfall of evil, & the people were freed from bondage.
Prophets of old were never in bed with authorities. They spoke truth to power & authorities trembled. They challenged kings & rulers over idolatry, corruption, & social injustices. Many paid with their lives.
They were martyred for the Gospel to spread to all corners of the earth. Pastor Paul Enenche spoke courageously like a prophet of old.
Brethren, this is no ordinary message!
Gloria Patri: “As it was in the beginning, is now, & ever shall be, world without end, amen!”
Speak Lord, your children are listening. ✊
“We need to work as a united Nigeria for the sake of Nigeria. The country is so divided. The present government has ensured that we remain more divided. Our unity is important.”
