Urban development does not need to come at the expense of biodiversity. Our city is hot and dusty enough without us cutting down whatever greenery left.
Curious to know if there are plans to mitigate adverse biodiversity impacts from these development projects. What are the requirements for achieving NoNetLoss & NetGain (NNL/NG) over and above EIAs? Discussions on a comprehensive Biodiversity Offset policy need to be accelerated
The energy sector is a key contributor to climate change, accounting for more than two - thirds of global greenhouse gas emissions. It is also directly impacted by climate change with many of the impacts manifesting themselves through water.
