@pavyg Sinner and Światek didnt avoid testing. Missed test is equal to doping. But 4 years are crazy. She is not the first player that receive punishment for avoiding tests. I just wonder why she is not gathering stringer evidence like hair tests etc. Why she was not ready that day?
Piłsudski had authoritarian tendencies. The Home Army, like any large wartime underground force, has episodes that can and should be discussed critically.
But none of that is the same as glorifying an organization whose forces carried out a planned campaign of ethnic cleansing against civilians.
UPA was not merely “problematic to Poles”. It was responsible for the mass murder of Polish civilians in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia: women, children, elderly people, entire villages. That is the difference. We are not talking about hurt feelings, competing national myths or uncomfortable political figures. We are talking about the organized extermination of a civilian population.
Poland does not ask Ukraine to “bow” to a Polish version of history. Poland asks Ukraine not to turn perpetrators of anti-Polish massacres into national heroes while their victims still lie in unmarked graves.
If Ukraine wants to honor its fight for independence, it has many ways to do so. But choosing UPA as a symbol is not neutral. It tells Poles that the actions of people who murdered women and children on a mass scale can be justified as long as they are wrapped in the language of national liberation.
That is not historical sovereignty. That is moral evasion.
@edgeAIapp I really think that there should be chance in tenis to advance lucky losers at this stage of tournaments. Fans and players would benefit from this. People who bought ticket will have a chance to see final and players will get second chance to win a title
Zwycięstwa Kamila Majchrzaka z zawodnikami z TOP 10:

@Popop_fr@lovroskolacic She was one of few women studying science in France that time. But yes, thanks to France she became first women proffesor there. She wanted to be remembered as Skłodowska-Curie which means she valued her dual citizenship
@Popop_fr@lovroskolacic How mamy French women before her studied and won Nobel prize that time in France? It is all thanks to some country or her genius? Do you think she was not smart and talented before moving to France? It should be attributed to her genius and these kind of discussions are pointless
@cate_tennis Agree completely, and it should apply to both WTA and ATP players. Sometimes I like watching certain players game but don't enjoy listening. I put them on mute or don't watch at all
@thierryAgain She had a break. Just need time to gry back to her rhythm. Will be good on US open I believe. Iga and Ryba needed some time also this year
@bez_klakierow Please feel free to post the whole quote, I just wanted to clarify that her statement was not judgmental. I am not sure why you are attacking me...
@bez_klakierow I don't think there's anything to comment on. Her response was diplomatic and truthful; I'm not defending anyone. I simply don't support taking quotes out of context and spreading hate. He had ongoing investigation then, which doesn't show ATP in a good light.
@aligarros Iga: "I don't know what the result of the investigation or the case is going to be. I'm also not sure what's the history in terms of the other cases that he had. [..] I guess you have to ask ATP what they want to do with that 'cause I'm not in the right position to judge."
