@darbysaxbe And if youโre lucky to get your grant, you then write your project up for publication you get tonnes more critique, critical appraisal or criticism! Itโs a funny old world we live in..
@Oldboatie Recently finished chemo & attended NHS eye clinic today for cataract discussion. Apart from the consultant no one wore masks & at least 2 workers were right in my face doing things to my eyes! When asked about masks they say it wasnโt mandatory & that it was wise I wore mine!
*Big people up*, especially younger people and especially in research, where we are constantly exposed to negative feedback in reviews etc.
Thatโs my unsolicited advice of the morning. Youโre welcome.
@maxwele2@alisonleary1 Totally agree but if itโs going on around the patient, I just suggest think about language & how itโs described to them and in formal communication with the public . What does the term โgrandโ actually mean in this context?
@alisonleary1 Holistic assessment-that art has been ruined by the drive for completing checklists thus ensuring certain things are scored/documented & therefore auditable. Process beats nuanced care
@trishgreenhalgh@bmj_latest Yes. Cancer nurse academic here undergoing chemo who observes that clin priorities are process driven, not always pt centred. Research is rarely mentioned. Even serv evaluation questionnaireโs are questionable. Love to contribute meaningfully in both capacities, pt & researcher.
