Due to this issue I had to arrange for the second person who was meant to be travelling with me to be lodged at a hotel and for that I had a significant loss on this transaction (50%)

@AskPayPal I will be taking this up with Barclaycard and seeking legal advise on both Airbnb and PayPal.

@AskPayPal These are all things that were caused by the hosts, by lying about the property address and the fact that it was a 2 bedroom accommodation. I don’t see how I could have avoided this from happening and yet I’m the only one penalised!
