When less is more. William Holden and Kim Novak teach us a lesson in restraint while performing one of the sexiest dances ever put on film, in “Picnic” (1955)
Dan...
You're wrong.
Never been wronger.
He's representative of the political
class that you openly support.
Jason Arday is a product of the exact same
leftist elitism that's at the core of groups
like 'Hope not Hate' and the current
Parliamentary Labour Party.
Whom you advocate for.
He's the actual embodiment of elitist
white privilege guilt and the utterly
abhorrent back patting and
sickening woke left.
So yes Dan...
He is 'representative'.
Of you and yours.
Witness the reputational death of a once-great institution in—what—39 seconds. It’s so embarrassing I can barely watch it. There’s a sexual energy to her gooning that is positively nauseating.
She will have read the drivel that masquerades as research. She will have known about the outrageous claims. Yet here she is: at worship. There’s no other way to describe it.
This is a quote from Michalinos Zembylas, a member of Arday’s interview panel: ‘Disrupt, refuse, and displace liberal democratic principles.’
The cancer of DEI.
This is hilarious on so many levels. They desperately wanted a hero for their fantasy inclusion narrative—and by God, he gave them one. I don’t really blame him. He’s a chancer, a con man, a charlatan. I even have a degree of begrudging admiration for him. Why wouldn’t he take them? They were absolutely begging to be had.
But it’s also sinister. You can bet your life that every university faculty in the country harbours a similar Walter Mitty character who is adored by simpering morons with short fringes, blue hair, tattoos, and excess weight.
It’s a national scandal. If you talk about it, you are of course racist.
Go figure.

Transfiguration of Our Lord (Feast)
— 6th August
Father in heaven,
whose Son Jesus Christ was wonderfully transfigured
before chosen witnesses upon the holy mountain,
and spoke of the exodus he would accomplish at Jerusalem:
give us strength so to hear his voice and bear our cross
that in the world to come we may see him as he is;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen
Jason Arday’s resignation is not the end of this story. It is the beginning. His enablers must be held to account
This is a national scandal involving universities, DEI programmes, the police and leading figures in academia, media & politics
This is a major crisis for Cambridge, with its reputation severely damaged
Our Woke establishment has been utterly humiliated. The brains of leading figures in public life have been so addled by the woke mind virus that they simply couldn't or wouldn't see what everyone else could.
@mrjamesob, @sbaroncohen , @ZackPolanski, Labour MPs by the bucketload, respected academics etc. etc. all blinded (brainwashed) by ideology.
They willingly put their reputations on the line, instinctively circling the waggons around Arday without pausing for a second to consider whether any of the allegations might have some substance.
A normal person would die from shame.
This is truly devastating for nonsensical subjects such as Critical Race Theory - a ridiculous field of study with no empirical or scientific foundation, taught by substandard "academics" spouting drivel.
Jason Arday's academic output in Critical Race Theory was excruciatingly bad, yet his superiors touted him as a world leader. What a damning indictment of CRT.
And it should sound the death knell for D.E.I. programmes, too.
How many other Jason Ardays are out there? People hired and promoted over others despite having no talent, skills or qualifications but simply because they tick the right diversity boxes.
This should lead to much soul searching - and root and branch investigations - across the UK, USA, Canada and everywhere else that has embraced this damaging policy of self harm.
Heads also need to roll in the Metropolitan Police for trying to silence a reputable journalist at Times Higher Education. His crime? Politely emailing careful questions to the fantasist Arday. This outrageous attack on the freedom of the press is deeply sinister.
I can't think of another incident which has so effectively exposed the corruption, incompetence and ideological capture of key British institutions and public figures.
Me on @GBNews:
My 15 year old has spent most of her free time sewing this summer.
She has created 5 dresses and one costume.
Here she is working on dress # 6.
This is early in the morning before breakfast.
When teens find a passion, you don't have to force the learning.
This is education.
“A girl sitting on the other side of the pool lowered her book, took off her sunglasses, and looked at me. She was so extraordinarily beautiful that I nearly laughed out loud. She was unquestioningly gorgeous, she was a dark unyielding largess. She was, in short, too bloody much.”
RICHARD BURTON — who left us 42yrs ago today, aged 58 — on seeing Elizabeth Taylor for the first time at a Hollywood party.
Thirty Christians were just buried in Nigeria. Eleven of the victims were children.
They were all massacred by Islamic terrorists in the last few days.
And nobody is talking about it.
Ask yourself this: what is @bbcnews for - if it is not to tell you the news?
I am married with a young daughter, both myself and my husband work.
-We are not entitled to housing benefit, or any other benefit for that matter.
-We do not get free eye tests, free dental care or free prescriptions.
-Our daughter is not entitled to free school meals, or free breakfast clubs, or free wrap around care, no help with her uniform.
-We don’t get council tax discount, or any other discount.
-We don’t get help with our energy bills, or low cost broadband.
-We don’t get help with the cost of going to the cinema, or days out at theme parks.
-My daughter is unable to play outside unsupervised, because you have failed to secure our borders and the streets aren’t safe.
-If I work more hours, I fall into the higher tax band.
Why should someone like me, vote for someone like you? @UKLabour@andyburnham
What are you offering my family?
