Our lab is looking to recruit a postdoc to break ground on a new project exploring how potassium leak channels can be used as tools to modulate cellular physiology. Reach out to hear more!
Very excited to share the first paper from my postdoc in the MacKinnon lab as a preprint. We’re studying PLCb enzymes, which cleave PIP2 to produce IP3 and DAG downstream of GPCR activation. (1/4)

In combination with membrane partition studies and structural studies of the PLCb/Gbg complex on lipid vesicles we show that Gbg activates PLCb through membrane recruitment. (4/4)
Next week: @ShashaFeng3 & myself are organizing BPS mini-symposium, addressing challenges to capture conformational dynamics of proteins, on 9th March.

To everyone out there who earned their doctorate in the face of:
-self-doubt
-doubt from others
-failed experiments
-rejected manuscripts
...or any other obstacles
I applaud you, Doctor.
