Tempted to move into a different field for a bit, to investigate mortality in Norway lobsters. Purely to refer to my methods as Nephropsies.
They can't take away my Marine Biology degree, can they?
1⃣ "Do you think this report will help people act?"
You, as media, informing citizens, inspiring activists, & holding politicians and business to account will "help people to act." Stop passing the buck to scientists, the worst communicators on 🌍, and take some responsibility.

Delighted to have this work published! We've known that depredation is an issue for coastal fisheries in the area for a *long* time, but this is the first time the cost reported by the fishers has been validated by concurrent experimental surveys.
Just published in @ICES_ASC JMS: using questionnaire and experimental surveys we showed that depredation caused by bottlenose dolphins lead to substantial losses, up to 5,000 euros per boat, to a gillnet fishery in the eastern Mediterranean Sea
Ok, maybe it sounds ridiculous on the face of it, but there wasn't enough literature out there to suggest it wouldn't have worked before we tested it. At least now we know tabasco isn't the answer...
*rifles through spice cupboard for further ideas*
