Every article on queuing ambulances that I've read eventually mentions that the problem is that patients can't be discharged because they can't get the care they need at home. Talk to the people who really understand why that is and fix that.
@RishiSunak@trussliz So frustrated to hear more coverage on the state of the NHS. Health services will never function as they should, or be cost effective, until the social care crisis is properly resolved.
Great event! Lovely to see some of my carer network in person again and to meet some new people, all keen to learn more about and contribute to a #carerfriendlywiltshire.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our first in person conference, putting the first steps in to making #Wiltshire the first carer friendly county. #carerfriendlywiltshire
Signing this wouldn’t just help one carer. It’s a policy issue and it’s not unusual for unpaid carers to find themselves in this incredibly difficult position. https://t.co/2hReMBmMbv via @UKChange
That's three questions to start with. I'd also point out that as little as 15 mins late can be counted as a half day absense. If we want to understand the why then we need to understand the situation that each and every one of these families finds itself in.
We're good at counting time out of school but not so good at understanding why. How many of these children have to take time out of school to attend medical appointments that relate to their SEND? See thread below. https://t.co/WQ3JSImjdf
@LauraAPitman Hope you feel better soon. I am still bemused by managing to avoid it when my not quite 10 son caught it but figured that the timing of my booster must have helped.
@kagtdccp If you are genuine (and it’s best not to assume so these days) then I am sorry but my languages are limited so I do not understand your comment. I would encourage my friends to support #Ukraine through reliable sources such as #RedCross.
I’m sure everyone’s thoughts have been with those who are trapped I or are fleeing Ukraine this week. I’ve been thinking especially of those who care, paid and unpaid, who are putting themselves at risk because they will not leave those they care for. #carer#caring
I really feel for everyone impacted, including former social care colleagues, but it is good to see the impact on unpaid carers recognised by @BBCNews https://t.co/TNOt9JS2H0
