AI in 2026 is genuinely impressive. it is also still notably bad at several things that don't get mentioned enough:
โ knowing when it's wrong. it sounds equally confident whether it's right or making something up
โ anything requiring verified facts. ask it for a statistic, check the source yourself
โ multi-step real-world tasks. booking flights involves 15 things that can fail
โ remembering what you told it last week
โ your specific context. it doesn't know your job, your history, your constraints
none of this means don't use it. it means use it like a very fast first draft, not a final answer.
@perplexity_ai sleep, HRV, and bloodwork in one place that can actually connect the dots. quietly one of the more useful health features shipped this year
@InternetH0F if this hits like spider-man 2 did marvel just quietly owns the best gaming lineup on the planet without anyone making a big deal about it
the email prompt that actually works. not "write a professional email." that gives you something that sounds like a press release.
this one gives you something you'd actually send:
copy this
Write an email from me to (person/role)
Context: (one sentence on the situation)
My goal: (what I want to happen)
My relationship with them: (colleague / client / stranger / difficult history)
Tone: direct but not aggressive. Length: short enough that they read it. Don't start with "I hope this email finds you well"
the "don't start with I hope this email finds you well" constraint matters more than you'd think
@TheGeorgePu ngl the timing is everything here. mythos just made every government nervous, the EU flew to san francisco to beg for access, and now they file. that's not a coincidence
every AI lab said they were different from OpenAI.
OpenAI went commercial. now Anthropic files for IPO
i'm not saying the safety mission dies. i'm saying public markets have a very specific definition of success and it's not "how responsibly did you ship"
Anthropic has confidentially submitted a draft S-1 registration statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Pending completion of SEC review, this gives us the option to pursue an initial public offering.

i've tested every major AI writing tool this year. the honest ranking:
still in my workflow: Claude, Notion AI
deleted after month 1: Jasper,Copyai, Writesonic
never needed again: everything that launched at a conference
the quiet ones outlast the loud ones. every time
