This is Sheikh Farouk.

Yesterday he stood on his own land in Palestine when Jewish terrorist settlers stormed in and attacked his family.

He did not run. He fought. He ripped the rifle from one of them and killed two of the men who came to take what was his.

Israeli forces answered by executing him and three of his relatives on the spot. Then they buried the truth to shield their own killers.

تواصلت الغارات الإسرائيلية على جنوب لبنان اليوم، وآخرها استهداف مبنىً سكنياً مأهولاً في بلدة أنصار بقضاء النبطية، ما أدّى، بحسب حصيلة أولية، إلى استشهاد شخص وإصابة آخر بجروح. ولا تزال فرق الإسعاف تعمل على رفع الأنقاض بحثاً عن مفقودين وإنقاذ العالقين تحت الردم. في المقابل، أفادت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية بارتفاع الحصيلة المحدّثة للعدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان إلى 3756 شهيداً و11632 جريحاً.

وصل الخبر بارداً كما تصل أخبار القـ.ـتـ.ـل في زمن الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية والإبـ.ـا.دات: “استـ.ـشـ.ـهاد مواطنة لبنانية في حاروف بعد استهدافها بمسيّرة وهي على الطريق”.
جملة قصيرة. خبر عابر. إسم يُضاف إلى لائحة طويلة.

لكنها ليست كذلك ابداً. الحاجة سلمى حرب، كانت مسؤولة عن غسل النساء المتـ.ـوفيات في البلدة. مهمّة ثقيلة، لا يقوم بها إلا من يملك قلباً قادراً على حمل الوداع عن الآخرين.

نزح كثر من حاروف، إلا سلمى، التي بقيت لأنها تعرف أن هناك نساء سيرحلن، وأنّ أحداً يجب أن يكون حاضراً ليحفظ كرامة الرحيل.

وخلال صمودها، جاءها خبر استـ.ـشـ.ـهاد شقيقها. حزنت كثيراً. خرجت من منزلها لتتنفّس. فاستهدفتها مسيرة "اسرائيلية"، وقـ.ـتـ.ـلتها، قبل أن تتمكن من استيعاب صدمة استـ.ـشـ.ـهاد شقيقها.

قـ.ـتـ.ـلت امرأة بقيت في ضيعتها لتؤدي واجباً لا تذكره نشرات الأخبار. قـ.ـتـ.ـلت أختاً خرجت من بيتها مثقلة بخبر استـ.ـشـ.ـهاد شقيقها. قـ.ـتـ.ـلت حاجة كانت تعرف كيف تودّع نساء حاروف، فودّعتها حاروف شـ.ـهـ.ـيدة.
