The Coalition for the ICC & over 120 #NGOVoices strongly oppose efforts by the U.S. to impose sanctions against the @IntlCrimCourt.
We call on ICC member states to defend the ICC's integrity & independence & to safeguard victims' access to justice.

Last week, @mnemonicorg responded to the @EU_Commission's call for feedback on the draft delegated act for data access under the Digital Services Act. I wrote this blog post on why the #DSA matters for evidence retention by social media platforms: https://t.co/beOlSpAmMF

Check out our endorsement of the @OversightBoard's advisory opinion of 26 March, highlighting why @Meta's implementation matters for human rights #OSINT investigations.
📢 Read our take on why @Meta needs to implement the @OversightBoard's recent recommendations to end its blanket ban on the Arabic word “shaheed” & increase transparency of its Dangerous Organisations and Individuals policy 👇 https://t.co/jdSCJ8TDKD
Check out @mnemonicorg's new #IranianArchive preserving 1.3 million pieces of social media content related to the violent #protests in #Iran. Preservation of this content is paramount for current and future accountability efforts.
Following the release of the UN Fact-finding Mission on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s report to the UN Human Rights Council @UN_HRC today in Geneva, Mnemonic is launching the Iranian Archive as a project forensically preserving over 1.3 million pieces of open source digital information related to the violent crackdowns against civilians during the nationwide protests in Islamic Republic of Iran following the death of Mahsa Jina Amini at the hands of the Islamic Republic’s morality police in September 2022.
Building on the success of the Syrian, Yemeni, Sudanese, and Ukrainian Archives, the Iranian Archive aims to collect, preserve, process, and verify digital evidence to support accountability proceedings and investigations related to events in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Great litigation work by @panoptykon, who took @Meta to court in Poland and won! A great step towards fighting online censorship of NGOs and others, and increasing user appeal rights regarding platform takedown decisions!

Free @Meta & @X API access for human rights researchers is crucial to identify risks to the EU, eg violation of right to access to justice & conflict-related propaganda, disinformation & incitement to violence. Happy to see some recommendations taken on! https://t.co/LczKd6ZniX
Important for #OSINT human rights investigations! @X now allows researchers to apply for API access to help facilitate crucial research in line with the EU #DSA. Recognition of role of CSOs to identify systemic EU risks will be crucial. We look forward to testing this process!
(Cautiously) optimistic development in #OSINT & the investigation of intl' crimes + #humanrights abuses. @Meta just launched library+API to access near real-time public content. Steps seem in line with #EUDSA. To note: no data download+application needed: https://t.co/QqGbWIiuTB
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Social media policies and products present grave risks and immediate ramifications if not informed by an understanding of human rights & at-risk communities.

"X has opted to apply warning labels instead of deleting content that violates X’s policies, including inflammatory language seemingly inciting violence" more on X latest changes and how it affects human rights by @MariaMingoJ, @zidanism, @itxasdo
Excited to share our piece @7amleh - @MnemonicOrg, exploring the concerning impact of recent policy changes by X on human rights work. We dissect how these changes threaten activists and HRDs in conflict zones like Palestine & Syria and other vulnerable communities worldwide.
Check out our blog with @7amleh highlighting the real-world consequences of @X's policy changes, specifically on human rights work and investigations in Syria and Palestine. We argue all its policy changes need a meaningful human rights risk assessment https://t.co/FjVUV8HtXh
