UPDATE : The Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, says the body(Omuguta)of the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV will arrive in Uganda on Friday and be taken directly to Tooro Kingdom, where the Musuuga and royal clan will lead the funeral rites.

He has also confirmed that Parliament will hold a special sitting on Thursday to honour the fallen King Oyo.

Today, during the consideration of the statement on Electricity access, I urged the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development to budget for submarine cables to connect Bussi and other island sub-counties to the power grid. I also asked the Ministry to prioritise electricity distribution to government health centres, esp. those providing critical maternity services.
