Self love to me is having strong boundaries, it’s discipline, it’s true commitment to yourself and it’s sometimes doing the hard thing and delaying instant gratification. It’s really showing up for yourself, even when it isn’t easy.

With God’s grace and with His guidance you can steer and control your own life, and most importantly, your own happiness. Don’t put your happiness in the hands of trivial things or people. For these things are fleeting, but your happiness and wellbeing are not!

I find it hard and complex to reconcile the idea that I should ‘treat people how they treat/ed me’ with my Catholic faith. Is it right to treat people how they treat you? Shouldn’t we be ourselves (good and moral) regardless?
