NOAA has categorized the ongoing marine heatwave in the Mediterranean as a Category 4, extreme marine heatwave.
Sea surface temperatures are exceeding 5°C (9°F) above normal in several parts of the Mediterranean Sea, with water temperatures now reaching 31°C (88°F). This exceptional ocean heat is adding extra fuel to today’s severe thunderstorm outbreak across Italy and Croatia while boosting oppressive humidity.
This is now the fifth consecutive summer with severe or worse marine heatwave conditions in the Mediterranean Sea.

This tribute honors beautiful Armande on what would have been his 15th birthday. Looking for a missed companion in their usual spots is a quiet heartache anyone who has lost a pet understands all too deeply.

COMMENTARY: Let’s say it plainly: There has never been a president as corrupt as Donald Trump.
There is no close second in our history.
