#ThrowbackThursday
Earlier this year, #TherapistsConnect co-lead Caz @cazbinny sat down with Myira @Myira_Khan to chat about her book ‘Working Within Diversity: A Reflective Guide to Anti-Oppressive Practice in Counselling and Therapy ’.Well worth a listen 👍 (link in our bio)
I think I watched over 20 different presentations about working in war zone by now,
My question is: what are some topics that listeners would find interesting, to know, to learn, to experience through the words of the presenter?? #Opinion
Great episode and truly enjoyed the discussion regarding what to post online. Something I’ve been struggling with lately and something I’ve decided to recalibrate and take a different approach. Thank you @Therapists_C

Running with squirrels and thinking how three weeks of power cuts effect therapy process- wether it’s physical disconnection or psychological. Most certainly something changed compared to the first wave of power cuts. Less hope? Less power to tackle problems? Exhaustion?
1094 air raid alerts in Kyiv since the beginning of war. Some are easier than others, some had devastating outcomes, some passed with cussing and laughing. And yet this number strikes me- how many times did the nervous system became alert and relaxed, how many times muscles
years to come? One thing I know for sure doing everything I can to reduce the impact works, paying attention to exhaustion and giving enough space to process all the emotions and feelings that rise up, without storing them for better time and place is essential.
Breaking News!

Post alert run- sometimes it feels like I’m trying to run away from all this craziness, until I hit the point when I finally begin to enjoy it. Good morning from my long shadow :)
Between power cuts, decisions, missile alerts and reflections on human rights (that don’t exist in war zone)- a hedgehog :) and sometimes it’s enough to brighten up my morning
Loved the explanation and deconstruction of the phrase “working with diversity”. Taking this out for a walk to translate and play around with how this can be adapted linguistically and practically. Thank you @cazbinny@Therapists_C
I sat down with Myira @Myira_Khan where we chatted about her amazing book ‘Working Within Diversity’. We talk about “nudging the needle”, and all things anti-oppression. Thank you for making a difference 🙏
