His name Wadie Al Fayoume. Killed at the age of 6 for being Palestinian and Muslim. Stabbed 26 times in his Chicago area home.
The Administration, elected officials, and the media for the past week have ignored Palestinians, and sold the general public lie after lie. Day after day we warned about the uptick in hate crimes, and how hate rhetoric will lead to hate violence.
When @sarasidnerCNN goes live on air on @cnn and pushes a debunked lie of beheaded babies, what do you think will happen? When networks give airtime to racist Israeli leaders to demonize our people, and push the talking points of a right-wing foreign government, this is the result.
You have vilified the entire population of Arabs.
This didn't have to happen.
The sad reality is that it may happen again.

“One of the main tenets of genetic counselling is a person-centered approach. What's important to the patient is the centre of what genetic counselling is,” said Maria Vas, a recent Genetic Counselling Program grad at UM.

Devastated to hear about Dr. Paul Farmer’s passing. I vividly remember when a friend recommended Mountains Beyond Mountains to me in 2015. This changed my entire professional trajectory. Dr. Farmer ignited my passion for health justice.
Partners In Health announced that its founder, Dr. Paul Farmer, unexpectedly passed away today in his sleep while in Rwanda.
Dr. Farmer was 62 years old. He is survived by his wife, Didi Bertrand Farmer, and their three children.

The SOGC is aware of social media misinformation of increased stillbirth rates and the implication that this is related to vaccination. Following careful review of Canadian data, there is no evidence of increased stillbirth rates as suggested.

Racism in medicine is so perverse that scientists will exploit Black people’s bodies for therapies to benefit white people yet at the same time claim Black people’s bodies are so peculiar that diagnoses & therapies must be “corrected” for race. #FatalInvention#HenriettaLacks
Thrilled to have received this award from the @NSGC_SNMSIG for my thesis project exploring the needs and experiences of those with mitochondrial diseases along the diagnostic journey. Thank you!
