We face an intersectional crisis for which we need a movement of movements - on Sat 24th Feb global & UK movements will come together at the #AndStillWeArise Festival https://t.co/ErU0Kt4Q82
What kind of deep hatred and disrespect must you have to say this about almost 4 million British Muslims?
Islamophobia has become an acceptable form of racism because there are zero consequences.

400,000 people in DC today. The largest Palestine protest in the history of the United States.
This Despite the cold weather, the flight and metro cancellations, the supposed fatigue after 100 days of protest. The movement for Palestine will not go away until Palestine is free.
Derry Girls star Jamie-Lee O’Donnell joined hundreds of Pro-Palestine protestors in the Maiden City during an international day of action.

The sad reality of Islamophobia is that you can pretty much say anything about Muslims and almost no one will bat an eyelid and yet we claim to take it seriously. (1)

Our learned and beloved elder, Benjamin Zephaniah is now an ancestor.
To call this crushing news is a massive understatement. He was far too young, far too brilliant and still had so much to offer. A loss we’ll never recover from.
RIP Professor Zephaniah.
The death rate in Gaza is at a historic high, with thousands of children killed in just a few weeks.
Demanding an end to this inexcusable violence is a question of basic humanity. Silence is complicity. You cannot be silent in an unfolding genocide.

I’ve lost touch with everyone in Gaza. I haven’t heard from my mother since yesterday. They don’t have internet or signal. I can’t call them through cellular connection. Right now I cannot speak to anyone there. Gaza is officially in the dark. Complete blackout where genocide continues!
In my nearly 4 years as an MP, I've been contacted by more constituents about Gaza and the call for a ceasefire than any other policy issue.
I am sure the same is true for other MPs.
We should listen to our constituents – and 76% of the public – and back an immediate ceasefire.
So there we have it.
There were two protests.
According to the Met, one were a bunch of far right thugs intent on violence.
The other was a massive Palestinian protest with “no issues”.
One was whipped up by politicians and media outlets.
The other was demonised by them.
