Alya isn’t wrong? Let’s set aside the bias for a moment. Imagine Alya in her wedding dress, heart full of excitement, when Cihan is late. She calls him, and he tells her he’s 'forced' to cancel. If that happened to her, would you still say he isn’t wrong? #UzakŞehir#cihal
@zuzuxfc I totally agree. It’s not Alya leaving that bothered me, it’s that Gülizar is just forcing obstacles. What I really don't get are the people claiming Alya was right and blaming her decision on Cihan! I’m so excited for S3 to see how that reunion plays out. #uzakșehir#cihal
@kiraz0102 I can understand why Alya did what she did, but that doesn’t automatically make the decision right. If every decision she or he makes is treated as justified, then what’s left for the character to learn or grow from? #UzakŞehir#cihal
@kiraz0102 I don't think the two situations are comparable, Cihan didn't tell her because he didn't want to hurt her pride as a woman.Cihan will understand her eventually, but that's not my point. My point is that the writer gave Alya a very weak reason to leave without telling him anything
So true.I think audiences are just so used to these outdated tropes that they mistake control for love. It kills the story's realism, love should be about mutual effort, not just one/sided pursuit. they even normalize men being jealous while hating on women for doing the same.
@kiraz0102 There’s no justification for either side to leave/cancel a wedding without explaining why.Marriage is a mutual decision, and communication matters. If Cihan had sent them away for their safety and Alya had known the reason, I would have found that completely reasonable #UzakŞehir
