Weโre extremely sad to announce the passing of RPD Olaf yesterday ๐
The Big O as he was known as by so many was a big friendly giant who during his policing career knew exactly when to switch into work mode. Olaf retired from his role as a GP Police Dog with Avon & Somerset Police in July 2021 after he was found to have a limbal melanoma in his eye. During his retirement Olaf was often used to puppy test the new dogs coming through the system as he was so good with other dogs!
Olaf settled perfectly into his retirement and was given a wonderful life filled with love from his family. He absolutely loved his car journeys and going on walks with his pack. He was loved by everyone he met along the way and adored by his family and friends.
Olaf was a magnificent dog who was so full of life up until his passing. His family and pack loved him dearly and he will be sorely missed.
Thank you for your service Big O, you will never be forgotten.
Rest easy and run free up there with Tyke and Bear ๐๐พ
Did you know the word โjuniorโ in Junior Doctor doesnโt mean young or unqualified
Itโs simply the term for any doctor who is not yet a consultant or experienced GP
That includes this 40 year old whoโs been a doctor for over 10 years
Please RT if you think everyone should know
