The Bible is *more communal than individual.
Jesus teaches us to pray "Our Father" not "My Father."
Paul uses the phrase, "our Lord" 53 times, & "my Lord" only 1 time.
"Jesus is my personal savior" is not found in Scripture.
We are the people of God.
We belong to each other.
It’s an unwed woman who carries God.
It’s the pagans from the East who recognize God.
It’s the workers in the field who hear from God.
It’s the marginalized neighborhood who welcomes God.
It’s God who chooses the lowly and the broken to rise.
Christmas is here.
Let hope in.
Running outta patience white Christian saviors.
We don’t need money with strings.
We don’t need your self branding.
We don’t need your irrelevant ideas.
We don’t need your ego.
Your good intentions traumatize us.
You can stay home.
Jesus didn’t invite this.
Indigenous people are tired, and no, we don't need to fall back on our "resilience" when colonization continues to manifest itself around us every damn day.
Sometimes we can just be tired and angry, and let the resilience come another day.

We are a settler colonial state, and we act like we’re not.
Until we can be honest about who we are, the wounds we collectively have, and the hate that exists at our foundation, we cannot heal as a nation.
Thank you to the teachers who remind us who we are.
