Today’s adventure: math fluency games!
1-How many am I hiding (w/ 10 blocks). They had to use their tools & explain why they thought the amount was behind their buddy’s back.
2-Knock out! Roll the dice, erase the sum, & try to knock all your numbers out.
What makes @WatwoodElem special? The amount of love & support that fills these halls.
On Wednesday, 2nd grade came to cheer us on before our Dibels assessments. Today, 1st grade was so excited to surprise them w/ encouraging posters & cheers before they began their assessments!
Friends celebrating friends.
After weeks of hard work he finally hit his goal. He went running to tell his friends who did not miss the moment. They dropped what they were doing and celebrated his victory! @WatwoodElem
You know it was a great Celebration Assembly when you do the griddy all the way back to class.
These kids set some really high goals last nine weeks and worked really hard to achieve them. Such a fun day celebrating all they have done and all that is to come! @WatwoodElem
Such a great moment when “I can’t do this” turns into crushing it at our “slow blends” blending time.
The transition from sounding out to a slow blend is a tough one but is so much fun when it finally clicks! @WatwoodElem
Who knew syllabication could be so fun?? This center is definitely a new favorite. Not only are we learning how to attack challenging words, but also how persevere, collaborate, and communicate!
We are going *GLAZY* about all the goals we have achieved this 9 weeks! *DONUT* worry we have even bigger goals that we are going to crush in our final 9 weeks!! @WatwoodElem
We have loved every part of Dr. Seuss week! From Cat in the Hat visiting to listening to and reading some of our favorite books, this week has been great.
