Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (John 18:1- 19:42): Good Friday

Lord Jesus Christ,
On this solemn day we stand at the foot of Your Cross, contemplating Your Passion and Your infinite love. You were betrayed, condemned, and crucified, yet You remained faithful to the Father’s will, bearing the weight of our sins and the darkness of the world. Lord, amid the moral evil that surrounds us, hatred, injustice, violence, and indifference, help us to remember that You have overcome the world.

Lord, when we are tempted to despair, remind us that Your Cross is not the end, but the doorway to hope and new life. You did not abandon us in our sin; You entered into our suffering to redeem and restore us. Grant us the grace to trust in Your mercy, to carry our crosses with faith, and to remain steadfast in love even in trials.

Lord Jesus Christ, may Your sacrifice give us strength, Your silence teach us humility, and Your death awaken in us the hope of the Resurrection. Stay with us, Lord, in the darkness of this world, and lead us into Your eternal light. Amen
